Thrilled to meet your furry companions! This is my first time officially dog sitting with random dogs, but I do have two of my own. I take care of them often whenever I visit home from school. This includes taking them on walks frequently, giving them baths, and taking them to the vet. My close friend in the area has been dog sitting for a while through Rover and I've helped her out a few times as well! I often accompany her on walks with the dogs to get a feel for what it's like to be a dog sitter. I've also helped her during her boarding appointment through Rover when she had to go home for an emergency, in which I took care of the dog and gave him lots of love and snuggles!

We had a great experience with Malia. We were in San Luis Obispo to see a performance. We were able to easily drop our dog off with Malia before our show and he was all ready to be picked up when we were ready to head home. Malia was cordial and courteous with us. When we picked up our dog, he appeared content and happy. We hope to work Malia again when we are in town. We highly recommend Malia.
Malia has been a large influence when it comes to the caretaking of my dog. Being a rescue, my dog, Baylor, was a very timid and easily frightened by loud noises and new people. I had asked Malia (on multiple occasions) to care for him while I went on a variety of work trips. Malia knows this dog is my world as he is like my son. As time progressed I have tried time and time again to allow Baylor to see the joy in meeting new people and attempted to untraumatized him from the past. Malia has such a general nature towards Baylor that I have seen him become more playful, relaxed, and overall happier to be present. Malia is a trusted friend of mine when it comes to the caretaking of any dog whatsoever. I would trust her with Baylor at any time I a not present, and so should you.
I highly recommend Malia as your pet sitter! My two dogs received the care and attention they needed! My two fur babies recently had dental surgery, and Malia went above and beyond to ensure they had their medication on time, proper meals, and the additional care they needed while our family was away. Malia is very friendly, trustworthy, and dependable. She is an exceptional caretaker of both large and small animals. Malia is not only an amazing caretaker but also knowledgeable, reliable, efficient, and devoted. She is available to work around my schedule, and she demonstrates enormous love and compassion for animals.

I live in a studio with no other pets, so if your dog is shy, they do not have to worry too much about interacting with strangers. My apartment complex has a dog park as well as many walking trails connected to the Cal Poly campus, providing ample opportunity for me to take your dog out on potty breaks and strolls! In terms of taking care for pets in a client's home, I will always leave the home as I entered it. I value the respect and up keeping of other people's spaces. I always clean up after myself, as well as the pet(s) I am caring for!

A typical day
As stated before, my apartment complex has several trails and paths as well as a dog park. I'd be able to take your furry friend out on strolls quite often! We'll play a bunch of games and we'll explore my neighborhood together! I hope to stimulate your pet mentally as well, providing lots of love and attention!

Availability
I'm currently a full time student at Cal Poly. However, my classes are very flexible. This Winter quarter, I have free time Tuesdays and Thursdays after I am off of work. I do have class 6-8, but it is via zoom and I do have sorority meetings every Tuesday 8:15-10. MWF I have classes and work 10am-6pm, so those are a little booked for now. However, after 6pm I am available. Next quarter (starting in April), I will have more free time MWF! As far as my weekends, those are completely free as of right now!
