I have been caring for dogs since I was 15 when we adopted my first pet, Ella (a Maltese, Yorkie). She just recently passed, and I've found myself excited to spend time and care for other dogs. In addition to caring for our family dog, I have cared for a wide variety of four-legged friends, including puppies, seniors, small dogs, large dogs, rescue dogs, medically disadvantaged dogs, anxious dogs, and unfriendly dogs. My roommate has a 3-year-old black lab, and I take him for a daily walk and care for him when he's sick. He is very friendly and would make a wonderful play pal for your pet! I also have a large balcony that's perfect for doggy sunbathing. :)

Malena is the best companion for my dog Neko when I'm away! Neko loves her, and I'm always comfortable leaving Neko with her knowing that she will get so much love and attention. Malena is always so reliable and communicative with updates and cute pics of Neko! Highly recommend Malena!!

I have known Malena since we were little girls and as long as I have known her she has helped taken care of her family dog Ella. When I got my fur pup Milo and we moved to Miami together she has been nothing but loving and helpful. Milo is a Lab mix with lots of energy. When I have to go to work Malena will feed, walk, play, and spend time with Milo throughout the day until I’m back from work. Even when I am around and she needs to run out she will take Milo out with her. Malena has watched Milo when I go away on trips and she has taken the best care of him 🐶 Malena is so loving to Milo and we trust her so much. We love Malena and 100% recommend leaving your baby in her care!

My roommate has a friendly and sweet lab mix, so he will be there to keep your dog company :) I live in a gorgeous neighborhood in Coral Gables right near Ponce with a park 2 minutes walking distance from my home. I'm excited to take your dog to the park and walk them through all the beautiful, local neighborhoods!

In addition, please let me know if your dog does not do well with other four-legged friends :) Your pet's safety and wellbeing are my number one priorities. I will care for your pet as if they were my own!!
A typical day
When visiting pets for in-home visits, I engage in the following routine: take your furry friend for a ~10 minute walk to alleviate themselves, return to your home to feed your pet (taking notice of the exact amount of food that you indicate), cuddle time :), play with toys, and then take them back out on a long walk to let out some energy and alleviate themselves again. If you typically take your dog to dog-parks, I feel comfortable taking your pet to the park and letting them off their leash in off-leash areas.

Availability
I am working on my dissertation proposal from home this summer, so I will be amply available to walk your dog during the day while I work :) My schedule is flexible and allows me to tend to your dog in the morning, afternoon, and evening, including overnight stays. I will also remain local this summer, so I will be free on weekends to walk your dog too!
