Pet care experience
I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life and grew up with a wide variety of pets. I am currently a ski patroller in Lake Tahoe now and I am part of our mountains search and rescue avalanche dog team. I have been a second handler for numerous of our dogs over the years training them in search and rescue and obedience. I also have grown up fostering dogs from older dogs to pregnant mama dogs with puppies. I have done it all and my passion is just being around animals!

Malea went over and beyond for us! We got married over the weekend and had different events planned each day. Malea was so accommodating with her schedule, and our dog, George loves her! I am very picky with whomever I leave my George with as I want to make sure he is safe. Malea made sure he was taken care of and even sent pictures and videos. We will absolutely be using Malea when we come back to visit Lake Tahoe. :)
Malea did a wonderful job! I would book her again in heartbeat she communicates well is responsible, neat and sends some great videos and pics while you are away.
Malea was great! Great communication, flexible with my schedule and the need for pick up and drop off. She took my Aussie (high energy dog) on many adventures and when they came back my pupper was tired from exerting her energy and happy! 100% would book again.

I live in carnelian bay with a fenced in front and back yard with plenty of room for dogs to run without having to worry about cars or traffic. My house has a fenced in dock area with access to the lake. So if you have a water dog I’m sure they would have a blast running around our fenced in lake access area. I will take care for your pet as if they were my own giving them lots of cuddles and endless belly rubs.

Information Malea J. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to know ahead of time if the dog is reactive to anything, dog friendly, shy or timid of strangers entering the home. It’s also important to me that I know what the dogs usual at home rules are ie. sleeping in the bed or if they are allowed on the couch. I also want to know things that the pet enjoys ie. are they a water dog and love going to the beach or if they have a favorite toy to play fetch with!
A typical day
I love being outside! I would love to take the dog everywhere I go with me out whether it’s about on a nice hike in the forrest or along the beach where they can swim in the water.

Availability
I work at the mountain as a ski patroller at Northstar 4 days a week. I have Monday- Wednesdays off and I would love to fill that time with a furry friend to go on adventures or be cozy inside with. I have lived in tahoe year round for 4 years now and I would love to share my time here with a companion!
