I was four years old when I was formally introduced to my first dog. It was my grandfather's dog and his name was Junior; he was a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Lab mix. I loved him so much that I wanted to be just like him. So, I put a dog bowl filled with soda right next to his, got on my hands and knees, and would drink whenever he drank. I did this not only because I wanted to be like him, but I needed him to know that we were equal. We took naps together, swam, ran the beach, and even shared a steak dinner on occasions. Junior was my first dog and my first best friend. I was in 5th grade when Junior moved on to his next life, and around the same time my mother got a teacup Yorkshire we call Miley. Miley has been apart of our family for 9 years and I honestly cannot imagine life without her. She has been the sweetest edition to our family, and has been there for us through all of the ups and downs. Currently, my family is back home in Seattle, as I am going to school at City College of San Francisco, working on earning my Associates degree. My weekdays are busy, but I am usually always free Friday-Sunday, I am looking forward to getting to know you all!
