Hi! My name is Makenna and I am 25 years old. I am currently a graduate student studying clinical psychology👩🏼🎓. I am a total dog lover and always have been my entire life. There actually hasn’t been a time in my life where I haven’t had at least one dog! Right now I have one 15 year old chihuahua-poodle mix and I recently adopted 2.5 year old terrier mix. My entire life has basically revolved around my fur babies and continues to do so 🤷🏼♀️. Beyond my personal experience caring for my own dogs, I have a lot of experience caring for other dogs as well. I am an extremely hardworking and reliable individual. I treat and care for each dog as if they were my own. I am super flexible, passionate about animals, and would love to provide walks for local families and their fur babies! 😊 I always carry a doggy water bottle on me and I always text the owners photos of their dog enjoying their time outside with me, unless specified not too. Overall, I am confident that you won’t find a walker who cares more for animals and ensures their safety more than myself!🐶

Makenna is amazing! She is a great communicator, sent pictures to help us feel connected to our animals while we were away, and went above and beyond what we had asked her to do for our pets. We have one 'giant' dog and two cats, each of whom has a unique personality and needs - and she gave them all the love, attention, affection, and care we could have asked for. Will definitely hire Makenna again in the future!
Makenna is so wonderful! She send me multiple pictures of my little pup having the best walk! She gave nice long walks and her summary was so detailed! She fed my dog, gave her water, played and snuggled with her, and gave great amounts of exercise. As a human, Makenna is kind, reliable, and trustworthy. You’d be missing out to have anyone else with your pets- I will 100% be coming back to Makenna for my next trip.
Makenna was able to stop by last minute to check on my boy when I couldn’t make it home on my lunch at work. Wonderful!

I have plenty of experience pet sitting for families who are on vacation, etc, and I have done daily walks/feedings/check ins for my clients who are at work, etc. I know how much my dogs hate being alone so I make sure to provide the pups under my care with immense love and attention to relieve any separation anxiety, loneliness, or just boredom while their owner is away/at work.

I am open to walking any age and any sized dog. I have experience with all sized dogs and I know how to handle puppies, seniors, leash aggressive dogs, dogs with health issues, special needs dogs, dogs who walk you, and more. I just ask that families please let me know any important details about their dog prior to walking so that I am able to account for such things.
A typical day
I am more than willing to take your dog on long or short walks (length recommended by owner), out to a local park, engage your dog through other stimulating play with toys, treats, etc, or even just provide them love and cuddles for check-in potty breaks!

Since I am a full time graduate student, providing pet care is super flexible and therefore, a great way to help out with my student loans, bills, etc. My school schedule allows for flexibility!
