We left our 12 1/2 year-old boxer in Makena's care for 8 days. It was so hard to leave our dog (with anyone) but we felt so peaceful and comfortable with Makena and her husband. We felt the love that they both had for animals and we could see/feel peace that our dog had when she returned home. I feel like she honored everything that she offers as a caregiver and committed to everything that I asked for regarding care of my dog. All of this made our trip so peaceful and enjoyable, by knowing that our fur-baby was content. My family is extremely grateful for Makena.

I was very picky with what kind of sitter I was willing to leave our 8 month old Golden Retriever with. Makena is AMAZING! She keeps a very clean home (which I love and appreciate) and she went above and beyond to help our dog feel loved! He was completely spoiled with constant attention, and we received photos and updates of him while on our vacation. It truly helped me to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing he was being well taken care of. When I picked up our dog from Makena, there was no anxious behavior at all like he has had when I have picked him up from doggie day care. He was so happy and comfortable! We have had zero issues after returning home and that speaks volumes about how well Makena cared for our sweet golden. She is an ideal sitter and we will definitely use her again!
