ACTIVE & ATTENTIVE SITTER
Pet care experience
I have always been a dog lover and believe myself to be a great care taker, being very aware of the pups, their needs and tending to that. I work from home investing in my own business, my daily routine consists of being at home most of the day/most days and taking outside adventures. Pet care would be a consistent thing, they would only be left alone for smaller errands. IN MY HOME: Instant morning potty breaks Active start to the day Getting fed (for their feedings) Water refills/refreshers Getting played with Consistent potty breaks throughout the day A walk a day, possibly TWO IN YOUR HOME: Consistent check ins Making sure water is refilled Making sure pets are fed Making sure they have gone out Making sure love and attention has been given Making sure there is nothing left out to get into Taking them on walks if that’s wanted from you when you BOOK
Reviews
Makaelee was amazing with Margot and sent really cute pictures of her during her stay. I would highly recommend her!
Couple points of feedback for Makaelee and anyone looking to hire her. Watching dogs is a big responsibility, it's not just having fun doggos around and making a side buck. - Out the gate, sitter starting complaining about past dogs going in their house. My dog immediately marked. - Sitter did not seem to know the difference between marking and peeing. - She was insistent and defensive that they cleaned. I informed her she likely has a carpet pad issue. They did not know that carpets had an underpad. My dog went a couple more times in 25 mins, and they asked me to grab the dog at 8:00p the night before an early leave. (Due to the last minute hail mary, while I was gone my dog was let out very infrequently, yet had zero accidents. Go figure.) If it was just this lack of knowledge I probably wouldn't bother, but there's a couple other things sitter and anyone looking to hire should be aware of: - She asked if the dog would be okay in their unfenced yard on a 35mph street. I said no, you should keep an eye on the dog in that setting. "Ok, I'll leash her to start with". I sincerely hope you're not letting dogs out without AT THE VERY LEAST being outside and next to them at all times. You have zero familiarity with some of the personalities of the dogs you may be watching. They Squirrel!, they splat - When discussing the drop off time (before any meeting) it's irrelevant what time I'm leaving the 26th when agreement was made and paid for the 25th. 25th was per your availability. If a schedule change is needed, be upfront about it. FYI: They were chilling making dinner when I showed up. - Sitter's bio says she has a dog, but the dog was not present for the meet. Could be an explanation here, but it should be 1) 100% mandatory, 2) addressed with owners if not Anyone with rudimentary experience with dogs can make their own decision here, and I really hope sitter takes this feedback if she intends to continue watching dogs.
Very thoughtful and attentive, especially with my nervous pup not used to being left. Thank you ☺️
Makaelee rules. She was super accommodating and took such good care of my puppy. She dealt with his frequent potty breaks, his endless energy and made sure he got his medicine too. 10/10 would recommend.
