Pet care experience
EXPERIENCE: Growing up on my family's farm, I have taken care of all sorts of animals for as long as I can remember. I've owned and cared for dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, snakes, hedgehogs, lizards, and the list goes on. I have experience in caring for senior dogs, sick dogs, and training service animals. I am an outdoor enthusiast and often take the dogs on hikes and swims if they're up for it, that is! I've been watching my neighbors Boston Terrier, Pepper, for 4 years and she goes on weeklong backpacking trips with me. On the other hand, our family's dog and my #1 Good Boy, Cash, is an old Husky with arthritis, so I know how to take care of the gentler ones as well. In these cases, we usually just curl up on the couch with a good book or Lord of the Rings. I'm more than happy to take care of your non-dog animals too. I studied Herpetology, so I love caring for reptiles and amphibians just as much as cats and small mammals.

Mak is my go to dog sitter. She loves my little furry like she is her own. She makes sure my Pepper is happy with walks, play, and lots of love! She keeps me up to date on her status and sends me the cutest pictures. Mak is patient and so kind! Your dogs will love her, Pepper gets so excited when she sees her.
We heard about Mak through a neighbor when we were in need of a house sitter. Our dogs loved Mak so much we hired her to walk them a couple of times a week. Our wheaten terrier (Riley) has a lot of energy and loves attention and she sure loves her days with Mak. The pugs somehow know its a Mak day and can't wait for their run in the dog park on those days. Hiring a dog walker is the best thing we've ever done for our fur babies and we are so happy to have found Mak.
We're so lucky to have Mak in our dog care routine! She's been helping out with our pup for several months now and we couldn't be happier. She's incredibly responsible with care while also keeping things super fun for our dog. From walks to cuddles and fetch, Mona loves when Mak is involved—which is really the true test, right? It's obvious how much Mak enjoys spending time with our dog (and the many others she talks about) and that affection is clearly returned. There's no better feeling than finding someone you can trust to love and care for your dog. Highly recommend!

SAFETY & TRUST: I currently don't care for dogs or cats in my home, but may consider it on a client-to-client basis! I find that the animal is happier if they don't have to be moved around. I do have a fenced-in backyard, if necessary. I like to keep frequent communication with pet parents and take photo updates of the pets themselves 💛

Whether it's neighborhood walking or full-on park playing, I love taking the doggies on a stimulating adventure. My favorite parks are Mt. Airy, Burnet Woods, Parker Woods, Mt. Storm, and the Little Miami River for a quick dip!

Availability
SCHEDULE: I'm an artist and contractor, so my schedule is very flexible. This allows me to be available for walks, park hangs, frisbee throwing, and general attention-giving at many hours during the day. I take multiple walks a day and I love taking the puppies with me. Mt. Airy, Burnet Woods, Parker Woods, Mt. Storm, and the Little Miami River are a few of my favorite spots to take animal friends. Walking with dogs is always better than walking alone.
