Pet care experience
As a mom myself (both a dog-mom and human-mom!), I know how hard it is to leave your little fur baby behind to enjoy a fun vacation or business trip but I can assure you that with lots of photos and text updates that your little pup or kitty will be so happy in our animal-loving home! We are a vegan household so needless to say, we do not discriminate against any little or big creature (well, maybe just spiders!). Your pup will have the best care, all the couch snuggles, nice walks on grassy Pehlam Parkway dirt paths, fetch games and timely food/drink care! My 6 year old will endlessly read to him/her and my 3 year old will give them all the scratches! They are VERY good with all dogs big or small and understand the limits, they will never be left unattended with your pup! We lost our Golden Retriever and Coonhound this year and just looking to fill the small void in our home <3! So go on your trip and let us go on some fun exploring walks! Maja was great with my baby. It’s my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Chopper with a sitter. She eased my worries and kept in communication and sent photos daily. Her kids loved him too! Forever grateful, I had a worry free vacation!
If you are looking for a sitter you can trust with your pet I highly recommend booking with Maja. I took a huge leap of faith leaving my puppy Rory with a stranger off the internet, but after meeting Maja I knew that my pet would be in great hands. Maja made sure to give me daily updates on rory and sent me tons of photos. Rory came back to me happy and energized so I know she was taken care of an happy in Maja’s home

EXCELLENT. We have had a lot of ok sitters, but there's always something wrong (didn't give enough food, didn't communicate enough, didn't give meds etc.). But Maja was absolutely perfect! Oz was well looked after, he loved her kids, and they loved him. Very happy to send him there any time!!

We have a 2 bedroom apartment with a very large living room and very large windows that dogs love to look out of! You are welcome to bring your dog bed, we have plenty of space, and a nice dark hallway if they want some peace and quiet :)

I try not to discriminate against breeds, but just from my childhood dogs, the bigger the better! I love gentle giants but the little excited energizer-bunny type dogs are dear to my heart too :) My daughters are obsessed with all animals, and would love to be around your pet too!
A typical day
Around Morris Park and Pelham Parkway are so many lovely trails and quiet residential streets with squirrels to chase and flowers to smell! If allowed, we can also go to the dog park on Bronx Park East near the Zoo, if their temperament allows and your permission is given.

Availability
I currently work from home full time and am very active and willing to walk dog at any time in any weather... and weekends consist of some sort of activity with our children that would require us to be out of the house for 2-4 hours, no more.
