Pet care experience
I have always had dogs in my life. I had a variety of breeds including an English Springer Spaniel, a Rottweiler, Jack Russells and now currently have a 15 lb rat terrier/chihuahua mix. We recently lost our mixed breed 13 year old Penny to cancer.I've worked at a boarding kennel when I was younger and for the past 3 years have walked and boarded dogs at my home for a different pet app. I realize how hard it is to find someone you trust to care for your dog. I wanted to help provide a caring environment where you know your dog would be safe and well cared for while you had to be away.

Scout was in the best hands. He had a spectacular time. Photo updates showed that he was living his best life. So thankful for the care Maite provided.
Maite went out of her way to include our dog Ruby in her home, make Ruby feel welcome, and keep us informed. We were thrilled and hope Ruby can return to Maite's in the future, if we again need to find a place for Ruby to stay.
Maite was a perfect fit for Kelli and I will definitely rebook in the future. She took great care of my little old dog including eye drop six times a day. Kelli came home happy and in great shape.
Thank you Maite for short notice walk for my senior Pitbull Kira. I have been sick in bed two days and my Fogtee really needed to go for her walk. Maite to the rescue! Within 40 minutes notice! Amazing work with people and their dogs.

I have a fenced yard and one 5 year old chihuahua/ rat terrier named Leo. Leo loves to play with dogs, especially smaller dogs. He will play with bigger dogs once he knows he can trust them. My dogs are members of our family and your dog, while staying with us, would be treated the same. My dogs are walked 2 times per day. They accompany us during our daily activities whenever possible. Our family would truly enjoy having your dog stay with us. We lost our 13 year old dog in December and we all miss having another dog in the house. Taking care of your pup would be a win/win for both of us!

Are there any triggers for your dog? Is there any food or resource guarding? Where does your dog prefer to sleep? Is your dog use to be left alone for short periods of time?
A typical day
We go on two different walks during the day. One usually consists of a neighborhood walk and the other is an outing to a park, like Keizer Rapids, Willamette Mission, or Waterfront Park. If we are doing yard work, they hang out with us in the front or back yard. They get to ride in the car on errands, as long as it's not too hot and the errand doesn't take too long. We also will play various games in the house for mental stimulation.

Availability
I currently work part time during the school year, but my husband and/or myself can adjust our schedule if I am boarding a dog at my home. For an additional fee, we will also pick up or drop off your dog if that makes it more convenient for your travel plans.
