Maija was recommended to us by family members whom she regularly helped caring for 2 young children. We were traveling and had an elderly cat with special needs who was essentially crippled by severe arthritis. Maija became our petsitter, taking on the daunting task of caring for an emotionally and physically frail cat that had severe trust issues with strangers. Our cat needed constant companionship, grooming, and assistance in keeping fed and hydrated. He also needed to be carried often to his food and litter, so that he would experience less pain. This job required 24 hour a day care, given his nighttime feeding and litter activities. Maija performed all these caring tasks with an open heart and super diligence, learning our cats vocal and physical cues and intuiting his needs. She was the only stranger he ever bonded with and actually trusted. Maija in our opinion is not only a gifted and caring individual, but a trustworthy and empathetic person. We highly recommend her to care for any pet, especially those needing extra special attention and emotional support. Maija is a gem!
