Pet care experience
I grew up with and learned to help care for my moms sled dog team, with up to 12 dogs in our care at a time. This involved bathing/grooming, giving vaccinations, feeding and cleaning up, as well as helping to hook them up to the dog sled. In my personal care over the years I've had a rabbit, guinea pig, two rats and two cats. This hands on education has left me with an appreciation for animals of all kinds as well as an ability to meet every animal at their level and work with them at their speed. In addition, I've participated in basic puppy/dog training classes for my parents' puppy. The testimonials available are from those who hired me to house sit at their location for several weeks. Your animals will always be just like family to me.

To whom it may concern. I have known Maia (and her parents) her whole life. She house and dog sat for us the spring of 2019 for 3 weeks while we were abroad. We left her in care of 3 very different dogs, all mutts of various degrees Alaskan Huskies. The dogs were very social, but also used to getting at least an hour walk every day. Maia did a fantastic job at entertaining and keeping the dogs happy, as well as dealt with our quirky Alaskan house without any issues. I can wholeheartedly recommend Maia as a dog sitter. All of my animal care for clients in the past have been at their house/location. I am willing to commute up to 15 miles one way for house/pet sitting opportunities.

Important information about your animals I need to know includes standard things like age, size, breed and overall temperament, as well as how many/what kind of pets you have in the home in total. Other things that are helpful are details like food allergies, preferred things like treats, walk distance and intensity, or any specific command words you use frequently.
A typical day
I'm currently in between jobs as well as taking a short break from university. This means I have all the time in the world to take larger/more energetic dogs out on longer, several mile walks. In addition to this, there is a small dog park very close to where i live that is a safe, secure place to exercise dogs off leash.
