Pet care experience
I am currently in school to become a veterinary technician. I have over a years experience working in a vet hospital as a kennel assistant. I have experience with high medical needs animals, aggressive/reactive animals, elderly animals, and of course your regular fur babies. I also have experience administering medications in all forms to both cats and dogs. I have one dog of my own named Molly. I got her when she was an 8 week old puppy and she is now 5.

I can't describe how fantastic Maia was. I would recommend her to everyone. My Fen can be very anxious and kind of stand offish to new people, but he took to her immediately. She kept me informed sent me pictures and I was just relieved of that worry I felt very good about her taking care of my guy.
Maia and Ruthie hit if off very nicely. Maia appears to know her way around dogs and we'll be looking for her in the future when we need sitting again.
I always relax when Maia is watching my dogs while I travel. She has a natural connection with animals and is so patient with my food-finicky boy and my old blind girl. Her experience working in a vet clinic reassures me that she's able to handle any situation that could arise. She does way more than the bare minimum to make sure my dogs not only have their physical needs met, but they also feel loved and attended to. She's warm and friendly and easy to work with.
Maia is absolutely devoted to animals. She is trustworthy and caring and goes to great lengths to make sure that animals feel loved. She has extensive experience working with animals who are old, young, need special care or just lots of love. Maia will treat your pet like a loved family member.

When it come to house/animal sitting I will ensure your animals schedule and routine as consistent and close to their usual routine as possible. With walking and other services that require leaving the house/fenced area I use an additional slip leash to make sure they are still on leash if they happen to get out of one. They safety of your animals is very important to me and I will make sure they are very well loved and cared for when they are with me!

Important things for me to know: -medical conditions both chronic (seizure disorders, diabetes, Cushing's, ect.) and acute(injuries, recent surgeries, ect.) -any allergies -any medications as well as dose and frequency -any aggression history, as well as possible triggers if known (Ex. doesn't like men or doesn't like children, ect.) - For dogs: it is important for me to know how they do with other dogs, both on and off leash. Your animals safety is my number one priority! It is important for me to have the full picture on your pet so I can do the best possible job taking care of your sweet babies!
A typical day
Your pets physical and mental state while you are away is very important to me. I will ensure that your animal is given lots of engagement by playing with them, giving them enrichment activities, and lots and lots of outside time. If you have a specific or general schedule that you have for you pet I would love to know so I can keep as much consistency as possible!

I do my schooling online therefore I have the ability to take my school work with me. I have a regular appointment on Wednesdays from 1-2 but other than that I have a pretty open schedule!
