Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 13 and have experience with IV’s, giving medication, bathing, and grooming dogs. I started out dog sitting for my mom’s friends, then started volunteering at the shelter, and then began working as a bather and grooming assistant, as well as kennel tech at doggy a daycare and boarding place.

I ask clients to leave any specific instructions that they would like me to follow for their baby in their home. Ideally I would play outside in backyard with big dogs if possible, if not then I will just walk them and make sure they get some energy out. For little dogs I usually walk and then bring them back in for some play time, especially if they are puppies.

I need to know if pets have any illnesses or special needs, as well as any medications that need to be administered, and behavioral issues if any such as food aggression or resource guarding. In addition, I must know if the dog lunges at others during walks and how their behavior is toward strangers.
A typical day
Depending on the dog’s personality, I like to play fetch, play chase, and mind stimulating games like search for the treat. I love playing with puppies and physically getting out as much energy as possible so owners can come home to a relaxed dog.

Im currently a full time student with a part time work study job. I prefer to sit on days that I don’t have class or work but I will accept bookings and make it work.
