Pet care experience
I have been taking care of pets professionally for over 20 years. My husband, Jason is the Assistant Manager/Training Supervisor of the Department of Defense Military Working Dog Breeding program at Lackland Air Force Base. I am able to care for Diabetic pets, those that have cardiac issues or who are on medication. Jason, a master trainer with the Department of Defense, does all the training for dogs over six months of age.

What stuck out to me immediately about Mags and her husband, Jason, were their qualifications. Not only are they pet lovers, but a former vet tech and a DoD dog trainer. This was extremely important to me as we were leaving our 4.5 month old Weimaraner puppy for a long weekend and I wanted her routine and training to stay consistent. A puppy isn’t easy work, and a Weimaraner puppy is a whole different animal, but as soon as I met their very well-behaved Malinois I knew our puppy was in very capable hands. Mags and Jason welcomed into their home before our stay and put us at ease with their friendly personalities and willingness to show us around and answer questions. I could tell Maisel enjoyed her stay by the pictures and videos we got while we were away, as well as how she behaved when we picked her up. We would love to use Mags and Jason again in the future.
Mags and her family are great! They have taken such good care of my dog.

I live on a half acre of unrestricted property. The back yard is fenced and allows plenty of room to play ball. I, personally, keep 2 female breeders for the Department of Defense. They high energy and are well trained. I also have a cat who is kind enough to put up with the dogs and their mayhem.

How your dog gets along with cats, dogs and/or people? Are your pups crate trained? How does he do in storms? With fireworks? What makes him happy?
A typical day
I work my personal dogs every day. It includes hide the toy and they have to find it. Ball chase and basic obedience lessons like sit, down. I try to keep them entertained and tired.

Availability
I work from home and am here most of the day. I have a doggie door, which all the pups get the knack of pretty quickly. No one is left unsupervised except when crated.
