No breed preference. I would like to know how much training the dog has had, what commands he/she responds to, feeding and walking schedule he/she is used to, activities he/she likes or doesn't like, and if it's a male dog - how he reacts around other large males. Chip loves all dogs, but other large male dogs who have not been neutered tend to be "alpha" and I wouldn't put my Chip in an uncomfortable situation. (He was neutered last year at the age of 4, so I know what it's like to have an alpha male dog!)

I should start by saying that I am currently working from home, so your dog will have me close by at all times. And so long as he/she loves car rides (like my dog), they can ride with me when I run errands too! Pacific Beach is dog heaven! I live 2 blocks from Mission Bay and frequently walk my dog around the bay. There is also a leash-free, open (but fenced) field across the street that is perfect for dogs! I frequent Kate Sessions park too! Although I don't have a personal yard, my complex is dog friendly and has multiple areas for dogs to walk, sniff and play around in. My dog loves to play ball, and I love that playing ball wears him out. So I would definitely be able to play fetch with your dog. If you're dog is behaved enough (and you are comfortable with it), I usually bring Chip around to local restaurants and bars with outdoor seating and would love to bring your dog too! In addition, I'm up for playing with toys inside and cuddling on the couch too! My dog is at the perfect age where he can play around with other pups for hours and he can also sleep for hours, so no matter how young or old your dog is, Chip is the perfect companion!
