This is so much more than your regular boarding. Most sitters take your dog out for a short morning walk and go to work leaving your pupil home alone until they return home in the evening. I work from home so your dog gets to spend the whole day with me. We usually start each day with a 1-2 hrs outdoor hike and play time at Alley Pond Park or the Rockaway beach, weather permitting. All dogs are on a 30 foot leash and wear a GPS tracker for safety. After that, the dogs come home for a much needed nap, followed by 2-3 more walks in the neighborhood. Senior dogs or dogs that are more laid-back and not into group play receive their private room and the activity level matching their temperament and health level. I realize how stressful it is for each dog parent not to be able to bring their beloved pet with them so I go above and beyond to ensure your dog feels at home when staying with me and that YOU, the owner, get flooded with video and photo updates through out the day. Your dog becomes part of my family and gets spoiled together with my dogs. I own two dogs, a 4.5 y/o Basenji mix and a 6 months old GSP. Both dogs are very friendly, very well trained and used to sharing their space/toys and food with other dogs. I have a background in physical therapy and hold certifications in Wilderness Emergency Canine Care from University of Colorado, as well as Pet First Aid from American Cross. I am very involved with The Good Dog Foundation, where Sagealso helps to bring love to others as a therapy dog. I also volunteer for NYC Second Chance Rescue, the organization where I found Sage.
