My idol growing up was Steve Irwin!
Pet care experience
Born and raised in the vibrant city of San Francisco, I recently graduated from UCLA in December 2022 and returned to my hometown, where I feel most at home. My journey with caring for animals began at the age of 9, and since then, I've had the pleasure of looking after a diverse range of companions, including dogs, birds, fish, and even a turtle. A devoted animal lover, my dream job as a little girl was to be a wildlife conservationist/environmentalist. I cherished my childhood days watching Animal Planet and National Geographic, with Steve Irwin as my ultimate idol. During high school, I dedicated a significant portion of my free time to volunteering at SF's Family Dog Rescue, taking care of dogs of all sorts of sizes, from the tiniest Chihuahuas to the most massive Alaskan Malamutes. Throughout college, I dog-sitted and walked dogs every chance I got, including senior dogs and special-needs dogs who needed extra care, i.e. medications. Additionally, my role as medic in the U.S. Air Force equipped me with specialized skills in providing tactical combat care to dogs, encompassing CPR, treating hemorrhaging, preventing hypothermia and heat stroke, performing needle decompression for pneumothorax, and monitoring vital signs. In January 2023, my husband and I welcomed our first fur-child, Pineapple, an 86-pound Golden Retriever mix. The journey to adopting Pineapple was serendipitous, with fate bringing us together at an adoption fair just as we were moving out of our no-pets apartment. Pineapple, a bit shy with people initially, quickly revealed his love for other dogs and a penchant for belly rubs. Determined to earn his trust and show him unconditional love, I understood that patience and time were key. From day one, Pineapple surprised us with his off-leash excellence, closely following and displaying impressive recall skills. His endearing communication style for potty breaks involves a charming walk up to you, sit-and-stare routine. A social butterfly, Pineapple enjoys zoomies with his friends in the park, willingly sharing his ball during spirited games of fetch. He's mastered essential commands, including sit, stay, and even an adorable "play dead," showcasing his love for treats. In essence, my passion for animals, combined with my unique experiences, ensures that your pet receives the care, attention, and love they deserve. I look forward to meeting and creating memorable moments with your furry friends!

Maggie took such good care of my pup Lincoln and I could tell from the many photos she shared with me that he had a blast exploring the parks and playing with his new buddy Pinnapple. Will definitely be booking Maggie again in the future!
Tofu LOVES Maggie and fam! Maggie took such amazing care of her, she’s been sleeping on the couch all day. Thanks Maggie!
Maggie was an excellent dog sitter for Mango! She is very quick to communicate, asking any questions or sending updates on Mango. I was a bit nervous leaving Mango for over two weeks, and he recently started to need daily eye drops and ointment. However, Maggie and her husband Matthew are both trained in animal emergency care. They also sent videos of Mango getting his medication and were very patient with him. I also received lots of beautiful photos and videos of Mango! They kept him nice and active! Their dog Pineapple also got along very well with Mango.
Maggie was wonderful! My dog had a great time with the long and fun walks filled with treats and a lot of love! Thank you for taking such good care of my baby ☺️

We have training/playtime before our walk every 2-3 hours and Pineapple will keep your pup company as well. During training, we work on tricks like sit, down, stay, and then take training breaks with tug-of-war and fetching. Before meal time, we’ll work on impulse control by training “sit” and “stay”. The release command is “ok go!” after waiting for the food for a bit. Expect lots of aesthetic photos and funny videos that will make you smile/laugh. We’d be so grateful to take care of your pup. Pineapple would just be as excited too. See you soon! :)

Information Maggie and M. would like to know about your pet
I’ve worked with special needs and senior dogs at a dog rescue and for families for four years. Please let me know how you would need me to look after your dog with the best love and care. Does your dog get along with big dogs? Is your dog ok off-leash at the park? Where does your dog sleep usually? How much food does your dog eat? At what times? (We do 2x/day, 6:30 am and 6:30 pm)
A typical day
Fort Funston, Stern Grove, and Bernal Heights are our favorite parks! Fort Funston has beautiful views of the ocean and sky, especially during sunset. Stern Grove always has playful dogs and is very peaceful. Bernal Heights has that crisp mountainous air and has breathtaking views of the city.

Availability
We will take care of your dog with your directions as needed. Pineapple gets taken out 1-2 a day to the park. We would feed Pineapple at around 6:30 am and then he takes his food coma nap. In the afternoon, we go to a park for 1-1.5 hr. We love going to Fort Funston, Stern Grove, or Bernal Heights. Then, Pineapple takes his post-afternoon park nap. Then we feed Pineapple his second meal at 6:30 pm. Again, Pineapple has his food coma nap. Pineapple basically recharges at home and then releases all his hibernation energy outside with his zoomies and playing lol. Taking care of your dog who will be by his side at home, he will for sure rather play more than take naps! We also have a fenced backyard for potty breaks.
