I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I could remember; I had my first puppy when I was 10 - he was a lovely golden retriever boy called Bean, who sadly passed away a little while ago. I have since raised 3 puppies of different breeds and sizes myself so dogs from all age will be welcome to stay with us. I started volunteering at rescue shelters since I was 15, so also experienced with dogs who are a bit nervous and have had a difficult life. Now I live with my boyfriend and my dog peach who’s a 1 year old cavapoo; we’re very blessed as she’s the sweetest little girl in the world, very well behaved, super friendly, playful and gets on very well with all other animals. She’s very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and always looking to socialise. She’ll be able to keep your fur babies company through out their stays! Our flat has a large fenced garden so your dog will have frequent potty breaks and will be free to roam around outside. I work from home as a freelance artist, so I work within my own schedule and have plenty of time during the day as well as evenings to play with the dogs - I’ll make sure your dogs go home happy and well exercised! Dogs are allowed on furnitures including the bed in my home; if your dogs are used to sleeping with people then they’re welcome to sleep in the bed with us; otherwise I can also provide dog beds for them.

Maggie was a fantastic sitter for our cocker spaniel and it was obvious our dog felt right at home. We got lots of updates over text, photos and videos over the time we were away and he was dropped back at home full of tail wags. Would recommend Maggie and happily book her again.

Maggie was a very enthusiastic and responsive dog sitter, Skye had a great time especially socialising with the other dogs. Generally she was very well looked after but unfortunately we can’t recommend Maggie due to an issue towards the end of her stay. Maggie looks after a couple of dogs at the same time, which she was very open about and we didn’t see being an issue. Over the last weekend she had a 4 month old puppy staying as well, they were left to play but we don’t feel were adequately supervised. When we picked up Skye Maggie mentioned that she had a slight patch on her cheek from where they were playing. When we got home and inspected Skye properly there were several grazes and 2 deep cuts in 3 patches on her cheeks and chin. I feel that Maggies heart is in the right place but she isn’t used to larger dogs and didn’t properly pair the dogs she had staying. We also don’t feel they were properly supervised because such servere damage was allowed to occur. Otherwise Skye did have a really nice stay, so you’ll probably be ok if you have a smaller older dog.
Twiggy spent wonderful 9 days with Maggie. We enjoyed our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our puppy is in good hands!

We have a fenced garden, so we usually go on 1 - 2 walks a day (depending on individual dogs’ exercise needs) and frequent potty breaks in the garden. We are fully insured and always take extra precautions to make sure everyone’s safe. We prefer to keep all dogs on lead when we first get to know them, and only let them off lead once we know them well.

Please tell me a bit about your dog’s personality and daily routines: dietary needs, feeding and potty schedule… Also would be great if you could let me know if your dog has any special needs and things to look out for. I can only take on dogs who are ok being with other dogs. We accept un-neutered males, providing that they won’t show any territorial behaviors such as aggression towards other males / territorial pee marking indoors etc. Before boarding I’m always happy to have a meet up first to introduce peach and your pup; peach has never met one doggie that she doesn’t like though!
A typical day
My dog peach won’t hesitate to share her toys with your dogs and keep them busy herself:) we can provide training and mental exercise and a good chew or two. We can go take a walk around the lively portobello market if your dogs enjoy busy places and new faces, or if not we can go to the nearby fenced dog park for a friendly run around. On a nice sunny day we can pop over to Kensington gardens/Holland park where I often take peach to enjoy a nice picnic. We switch the walking routes around so peach is never bored!

I’m a freelance illustration artist so I work from home almost all the time; my schedule is super flexible. I will be sitting at my desk in the living room for most of the day so I’ll be able to constantly keep an eye on the dogs, and have frequent breaks to play with them. I live with my boyfriend Matt so we will both take care of the dogs, especially the bigger dogs who tend to pull on walks/require more attention and care. Sometimes when I need to pop out for work Matt will be with the dogs so that they will never be left unsupervised.
