I am a vet student at UC Davis and have worked as an assistant in vet clinics, so I am ready to look after the health of your animals and keep them safe in all situations. Growing up I was also a professional dog trainer in dog agility and obedience and have years of dog/cat ownership and pet sitting experience. I am currently a full time veterinary student at UC Davis and live with my boyfriend who works a different schedule than mine, meaning one of us is typically home during the majority of the day. Any pet staying in our household would not be left alone for more than 7 hours (typically less than 5 hours), would have numerous potty and walking opportunities throughout the day, and would get lots of love and attention. I live in an apartment, but go on lots of long walks throughout the day and have a park two blocks away where I like to take dogs. If your dog is in shape I would also love to take them on a run with me during the day. I live with my boyfriend who also has years of dog ownership experience and has fostered pets in the past, he is happy to help care for any visiting pets while I am at school. We do have two dogs (one 11 year old Australian shepherd and one 2 year old border collie) who are very well behaved and good with other dogs, and a 17 year old cat who is harmless and stays to herself. I would separate your animals from mine when leaving them home alone just to be safe, but again my animals are really good with other dogs and cats.
