Pet care experience
I grew up dogs and have been around animals all my life. In the past 5 years or so, I lived with and helped to take care of my roommate's cat and took care of friend's pets when they were out of town. Most recently, two close friends got puppies and I spent a ton of time with them and around them learning the ins and outs of puppy training, including walking, feeding, bathing, and tricks! I also co-fostered a new kitty mom during the birth and early months of having her 4 new kittens. My best friend is also a vet, and as I got my own cat a little over a year ago, she has been my go to for learning a lot about pet care (both cats & dogs) and about the overall health of animals.

I live close to many parks (including Washington Square Park and the West Side Highway), am very active, and I'm familiar with handling dogs of all sizes in the public. When staying in your home, I'm incredibly organized, responsible, and cleanly. Prior to your reservation, I will check in on specific details, any extra services I could provide (cleaning up, laundry, etc.). I would typically recommend a lockbox for security purposes, but will handle your key with care and airtag them when in use. If your pet were to ever come to my home, I live close to many parks and live up a short flight of stairs for any pets who struggle with mobility. My roommate and I live in a larger apartment, plenty of space for your pets to spread out.

A typical day
I would love to make sure your animal has a ton of fun and feel lots of love when I watch them. For dogs, getting them outside or doing indoor activites/playing will be important as well as testing them on their tricks (possibly teaching them new), and making sure they get lots of cuddles. For cats, I'll make sure their at their most happy and comfortable, whether that mean cuddles or just making sure when in the same room. If they love to play, I have a spare laser pointer and would love to get them their exercise!

I currently work a hybrid schedule and have the choice of when I work from home/remotely or not. I have a super flexible schedule as well and can be available most times of the day to help care for your pet(s).
