Hi! My name is Maggie and I am so excited to meet you and your furry friends! I know how much we all love our pets. We would take them everywhere with us if we could! But life happens, and I’m here to make sure your pet is getting the care they need while you’re away. It can be stressful to leave our pets for a few days, or even a few hours! That’s why I value prompt communication. If you’re sipping a drink on the beach thinking “I hope my fur baby is okay”, worry no further! I’m just a text away with reassurance that we are having the best time together. Our pets are as unique as we are. Each one needs something a little different to feel safe. Also, just like with humans, change can be difficult. So I will stick to any routine you have set in place to make sure that the transition is as seamless as possible. Maggie is wonderful! She has house and cat-sat for us multiple times and really developed a loving, trusting relationship with our cat, who can be a little temperamental and aloof and has some separation anxiety. Maggie was exceedingly patient, attentive, and kind to our kitten, and it was apparent that she became a source of comfort to her; she was noticeably more relaxed when we came home from being away than with previous sitters. Maggie sent us cute pictures while we were away, and our kitten even started cuddling with her! It is rare for her to cuddle with anyone but us. We highly suggest Maggie as a house and pet sitter. She even took care of the house and watered the plants! She is the whole package!

I am very routine focused. I find that it cuts down on unnecessary stress for pets. Each pets needs are different. So whether they need two walks a day and extra time at the dog park or if they just need a little extra love and attention, I’m committed to creating a relatively stress free environment (for the pets as well as their humans).

Knowing any set walking and feeding routines will help me to keep your pet on schedule. Also, knowing certain triggers such as food aggression will be helpful in reducing your pets stress levels.
A typical day
If you have a high energy dog I am capable of going on long walks around town. I can even bring them to a dog park to keep them being social and engaged if you like. If you have an older dog that may not be able to handle that level of activity I will let them set the pace and decide when we are done. I will strive to keep your pets schedule the same as when you're home. I want to reduce any stress they may feel from you being gone.
