Serene Seaside Space for Your Pup!
Pet care experience
If you're reading this - rest assured, you've found your dog's new best pal. I work remotely from my quiet York, ME home, and I would love to share it with your pup when you've got a commitment that keeps you away from them! I can also work anywhere I can connect to wifi so whether your furry babe is a homebody or a brewery hound, consider me enthusiastically up for the task of giving them lovin' while you're away! I have been around and lived with dogs all of my life and have always connected compassionately and respectfully with the dogs of others. I have experience caring for sick and post-operation dogs. I also have experience volunteering at animal shelters, and I am capable and comfortable when it comes to entertaining and caring for a broad range of canine pals in both size and personality. I have never met a dog that I didn't immediately get along with, and I have never been given a reason to believe that feeling is anything short of mutual! You would be hard pressed to find a more flexible/attentive-to-your-dogs-needs pet care provider :) *** 10% of my Rover profits will go to Halfway There Rescue, an incredible foster network who saved my first dog, Zevon, and gave me the chance to love him for his short, sweet life. They are doing a beautiful job of saving and homing animals in the Charlotte, NC area, and I hope to help spread their name in his memory by caring for your furry babies.
Reviews
Maggie is incredible. Upon meeting Sippi for the first time she was so great with her. Sippi can be very timid & she used her experience with dogs of all kinds to tailor to her. Hyder is great also. Sometimes Sippi can be agressive but Hyder didn’t snap back & once she realized he didn’t want to fight- she just wanted to play!
Maggie was amazing today and so patient when my pup was scared of a new situation!
Maggie was awesome! She watched our two dogs (of of them a 4 mo old pup) in her home. She met up with us at a park to make sure her dog and ours were comfortable and to learn about ours. She was so responsive, attentive, and I could tell she cared about taking care of our dogs. We will definitely be booking more with Maggie !
Took such good care of my pup!! Will be going back!!!

I do have a dog of my own! He is young, he is big, and he is enthusiastic about other dogs. He is also polite and totally wonderful, and incredibly well-natured, but I do require a Meet & Greet to ensure your babe feels comfy with mine and vice versa. That said! I just wanna know what makes your dog tick! Do they need to eat at a certain time Or Else? Do they need to walk a certain number of miles a day? Will they be comfortable sharing a couch with Hyder? If I am caring for them at your home, is it okay if Hyder is there too? (I ask a million questions in the Meet & Greet that I could never summarize here, as it is extremely important to me that your dog feel as close to "being home" as possible while in my care.) I have specific breed experience primarily with large dogs - Boxers, Pit Bulls, Labs, Goldens, Chow Chows, Rottweilers, mixes comprised of these breeds and others, but I have also lived with and cared for a number of small dogs as well! *** Because I have to keep my own babe in mind - I do need any dog who stays in my home to be completely up to date on standard vaccinations!
A typical day
I live a very short walk from the beach! So Hyder and I most often explore over on Long Sands Beach and always welcome a buddy! Beyond that, I am willing and eager to explore anywhere. If your pup has a preferred route, I will gladly take them there, but I am just as happy to take them for an adventure stroll. Speed isn't a concern - running and walking are both on the table. If your dog likes to play fetch, I've got an arm with a decade and a half of throwing practice and the patience to match even the most enthusiastic retriever.
