Pet care experience
I live in Penngrove and am in a house with a large, fenced-in backyard. I work full time from home. I have a 3 year old golden retriever named Kodak - a sweet, affectionate, and energetic dog. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING: At this time, I’m only accepting FEMALE dogs, spayed, at least 6 months old, who don’t resource guard toys or food, and do not have dominating/alpha tendencies. A friendly dog that will play with my golden or match his energy to a certain degree would be ideal. Sorry for the inconvenience. I was a volunteer at Family Dog Rescue, a non-profit dog shelter in SF for 3 years. You can see a few of dogs I've hung out with at the shelter in my photos section. I helped to socialize and exercise the dogs to prepare them to find a loving home. I've worked with dogs of many different breeds, age, and condition, and have always enjoyed their company.

Maggie and her puppy made my dog feel right at home! Maggie kept me updated with photos and video of the dogs romping together, and my (sometimes anxious) dog was relaxed and playful when I came to pick her up. My dog clearly enjoyed meeting Maggie and family. Thanks a bunch, Maggie!
Maggie was a wonderful and attentive dog sitter. She took our pup out for multiple walks while we were away for the day and clearly had a very fun time interacting with both Maggie and her group of friends and their dogs. We appreciate her attentive care and hope to leave our dog with her in the future.

Is your dog friendly with other dogs and/or people? How energetic are they? Are they tolerant of energetic dogs (aka my 2 year old golden)? How well do they walk on leash? When and how often should your dog be fed? Are they an escape artist?
A typical day
Fetch/play time in the garden, walks in the nearby regional parks, and play time at the dog parks in Petaluma/Cotati. Dillon beach is also great for dogs (dogs being cared for will need to stay on leash though)

Open to dog sitting during the weekdays only since I work from home. I would prefer drop off/ pickup that align along working hours 8:30am-6pm
