I have been an animal lover my entire life. As soon as I was capable of walking, I was following my parents around, helping care for our pets. The majority of my life was spent in a household with three dogs (and two cats!) at any given time. As a family we have had multiple Labradors, a German Shepherd, a Newfoundland, and a St. Bernard/Collie mix. I am very comfortable around large-sized dogs! I have also puppy-sat and house-sat for friends since I was in high school, so I am quite familiar with the understanding and respect required when not only looking after a beloved pet, but the home as well. I can also pet-sit for cats as well, emptying litter boxes and checking on food and water, if necessary.
