I've cared for animals my whole life! Whether working professionally with raptors at a local nonprofit or caring for the dogs and cats of my friends--I've spent A LOT of time caring for animals. In the past I've cared for 13+ permanently injured hawks and falcons in my job, housesit for cats and dogs, traveled around the world caring for pets via Trusted Housesitters, and cared for my own pets, who are the light of my life! Professionally, I'm a writer and editor, so I'm detail-oriented and able to follow instructions, so nothing important slips through the cracks.

I live in a small apartment, but have a spacious fenced yard, which I have taken great care to secure. I have a 20lb, two year old terrier poodle mix who loves the company of other dogs. I, myself, get very nervous leaving my dog with sitters while I travel, so I take great care to make sure the people I work with do not have to worry.

A typical day
I work remotely, so I give my dog and dogs in my care lots of attention. We typically take a long walk in the morning and have lots of bathroom breaks and relaxation during work hours. My dog is very playful, so if yours is, they will likely spend a lot of time wrestling and exploring the yard together. Evening comes with a short walk before dinner.
