Pet care experience
I've had my dog since she was three months old and now it's five years later! In my time with her, I've worked with teaching her basic commands, learned how to be mindful of how she plays with her toys and other dogs and found ways to keep her engaged. I also have experience sitting friends' dogs and having them spend the day with my dog and I.

I'm mindful of what is within reach of your dog to make sure that they are safe and don't get into anything that may hurt them. I make sure to put things around them that they can play with safely. I also have a dog and access to a fenced-in dog park that both of them can interact and play. At the end of the day, I like to get to know the personality of each dog and find a way to meet each dog's needs. For example, with my dog, she loves to sleep and be wrapped up so I will make sure to wrap her up in blankets so she can nap comfortably. My friend's dog is really active so I'll take the both of them to the dog park or somewhere they can run around and let them play. Lastly, I am a strong believer in consistent communication with pet owners about how their dog is doing (this mostly means that you'll receive cute photos of your furry friend and I take great photos of them as seen in my album). Additionally, I have previously worked in residential life at a college for three years so I am comfortable in and know how to manage an emergency. Whatever happens, I will remain in constant communication.

When learning about your dog's feeding schedule, are there any special diets that I need to be mindful of? How does your dog interact and play with other dogs? Are there special areas or favorite places your dog likes to visit in your area?
A typical day
I love taking dogs to my local dog park and walk around the area. We'll have get then plenty engaged! We'll do laps around the neighborhood and play fetch or tugging with a rope toy. If your dog likes to meet other dogs, there so many furry friends in the neighborhood that your dog can get acquaintaned with. After some playtime outside and some down time, I like to find ways to keep pup friends mentally stimulated. This could be through specific types of activities or practicing basic commands, or working on new ones!

Availability
I currently work in a regular 9am-5pm position under a hybrid schedule, which means I work remotely two days a week. While working remotely, I have a lot of flexibility in how I build my day to day meaning I can build my meetings and other work related business around the needs of your dog. I'm additionally completely available on the weekends to spend the entire day engaging your furry friend.
