Looking for a pooch to pamper
Pet care experience
I've been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. Before I got my own, I used to beg my neighbors to let me come over and play with/help take care of their dogs. I have over a decade of experience as a capable dog owner, and have come up against numerous special circumstances, such as medical and dietary issues. I'm an NYU student staying home this semester for an internship, but when I'm away at school I miss my own dog very much. I'm just looking to help out someone else who can't spend as much time with their own dog as they would like. Please let me know if this sounds like you, I'd be happy to meet your special pooch.
Reviews
Maeve was awesome with our dog, Nico! He can be a timid dog, but it was clear that he warmed up to her pretty quickly! He was also very relaxed and content when we got home. She also sent us a bunch of cute pictures while we were out of town and made sure to keep us in the loop. We will definitely be hiring her again for our future pet sitting needs.
What can I say about Maeve?! She's an amazing person and dog-sitter. She is so kind, caring, and compassionate, and it totally rubs off on the pups! She is a huge dog-lover and the dogs love her right back!
I am so grateful that Maeve, and no one else, is walking my dog Piglet. She is punctual, patient, kind and caring to any animal in her care. My dogs love her just as much as she loves them! Highly recommended if you want someone who is not only responsible, but treats your dogs as if they are her own!
Maeve is a find! She is totally responsible and reliable. Hudson loves her and I believe that Maeve really loves Hudson. They have fun together, and I can relax when Hudson's in Maeve's care.

I have a fenced in yard and a lovely pup of my own who can keep yours company if they want! I also have a large crate if you are crate-training or prefer one.
Information Maeve F. would like to know about your pet
I don't have any breed preferences but if they're bigger I would definitely like to know if they are leash trained. In general, I'd also like to know if they have dietary needs, get along with other dogs, are house trained, and if they are ok off the leash.
A typical day
On walks, we would go to the local park (I usually take mine to Montrose, near Dumbarton Oaks) and depending on the dog, we could go off leash and take a hike, or run around and play fetch with a tennis ball, maybe meet and play with other dogs. We could also do baths on a hot day, to cool down.

Caring for Luna takes precedence over everything. She wakes me up early everyday for her morning pees and breakfast, then we go on a medium-length walk around the neighborhood where I get my coffee and she gets in her sniffs. Luna is always nearby at home, either in one of her three beds or more often than not, lounging on the couch amidst some cozy blankets. When I’m working, I often give her a hug or pickup her toy duck (Duckie) to take breaks and relieve stress. She lives to play, and I’m a sucker so often I’ll sit down for what’s meant to only be a minute or two and find myself in an intense game of tug of war. Basically Luna calls the shots in my house. If she needs something it takes first priority and I don’t settle into whatever I’m doing until I’m sure her needs are met.
