Hello, I am Maegan and I live in Georgetown. I am a professional photographer, so I mainly work from home! :) Karma is very special to me because she enjoys brightening everyone's day and is always so loving and happy. Karma is a big couch potato and VERY gentle with all size dogs (as well as all other animals) and dogs of all ages. She is amazing with sharing any and everything; food, toys, and personal space. Kiara is a rescue from Austin Humane Society. She loves her big sister Karma to pieces and I am pleased that she has very similar traits to Karma in regards to sharing and being able to get along easily with all other dogs & animals. She is a very sweet, loving, & gentle pup! She does however have 'stranger-danger' with new people that we are working on and therefore it takes her a while to 'warm up' to new people especially men. Kovu is the newest addition to my own pack and he's nothing but a big love bug to everyone and all animals. He still has puppy energy but is very submissive to other dogs. I can provide a loving, fun, environment for all of my client's dogs. They would always be safe but also always having fun and being shown lots of love! Why I love dog sitting I grew up in a dog loving family; from the time I could walk I was around dogs all the time and constantly trying to convince my Mum to let us keep all the strays I would find in our neighborhood. My Mum says I've always been great with animals, gentle and loving. I had a dog of my own from the time I was quite young and always have ever since. To me, a house sincerely isn't a home without a dog! Meet my pets I have three dogs myself, Karma, Kiara & Kovu. They are immensely sweet, loving, full of energy and ready to play. If your dog isn't energetic/playful, that's ok! They have each other and are really good at leaving other dogs be if they aren't up for playing. Both my dogs love sharing their toys, beds, and their home in general. Come feeding time, all dogs - mine and guests are separated. My experience administering medication I am comfortable giving oral, topical and injection medications. If your dog requires injections I do charge a rate per injection.

After reading many profiles and reviews, we scheduled a meet and greet with Maegan. We immediately felt comfortable with her and our 1 year old Golden Tetriever Jax made instant friends with her 2 dogs. Maegan was so great with my fur babies! I was a little worried they would be monsters to her but she handled them perfectly!
Our first experience with Rover.com was this last weekend, and, after digging through all of the awesome sitter options, we chose Maegan, and what an EXCELLENT choice we made! She lives less than a mile from us, and we needed someone to watch our two precious rescues, Dixie and Dylan, from Saturday to Sunday. We didn't necessarily need someone to sleep over, as we can crate them at night, and they have a doggie door to go in and out of the yard during the day, but we definitely wanted someone to check in and to give them cuddles and love frequently! Anyway, when Maegan came over for the meet and greet, she brought her two pups, Karma and Kiara, because Dylan has some problems with dog aggression that we're trying to tackle, and she very sweetly offered to use her pups to work with him. She spent over thirty minutes showing us tips and tricks to work with Dylan, and I promise you that we learned more in those thirty minutes than in sitting through several hours of the Dog Whisperer! Haha! It was pretty amazing, and Maegan is amazing! She worked intently with them and sent us frequent pictures and updates. She was actually still there when we got back from Dallas yesterday, and we saw her outside playing catch with Dix and Dyl before she saw us. The dogs were having SO much fun that, when they finally saw us, they didn't explode with balled up energy! They were happy to see us, of course (I would have been crushed otherwise! Haha!), but it was clear that they had felt well-loved and attended to from start to finish. Maegan also left us a bag of her homemade pup treats! The dogs are devouring them! Long story short: Maegan is flexible, knowledgeable, hard-working, and TOTALLY reliable! Don't take up all of her time, though, because we will consistently need her from now on! Ha! Maegan watched our dog Diamond for a few hours while we had an event to go to. Diamond is under treament for heartworms so needed to be kept calm. Maegan was prompt and friendly, knowledgeable about dogs, and we'd definitely use her again in the future.

I have a safely secured privacy fenced in yard. I lock the outside of the gate to ensure that no one can open it and that pets stay safe inside. I always make sure that all the boards are secure and that there are no holes or ways to get loose. Additionally, dogs are never left unattended in my yard!

Information Maegan H. would like to know about your pet
I just need to know that your pup is not aggressive and spayed/neutered. If your female dog is not spayed, that will be fine so long as she is not in heat during her stay with me. Dogs of any weight are welcome to stay with me. I know that a lot of pet owners allow their dogs to hang out on the furniture, I prefer dogs to sleep on their dog beds on the floor, however, if they are more comfortable in the bed with me, I will make an exception for my guests!
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We can go for walks around the quiet neighborhood I live in, or they can play in my safely fenced in backyard. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your pup can sleep wherever he/she is most comfortable. I do however, prefer dogs to sleep in their own beds/crates rather than allow them to sleep in bed with me. Time I'll spend with your dog I am home FULL TIME, so how does 24/7 sound!?

Availability
My schedule is fairly flexible so I am able to make myself available as much as possible for my client's pups. My dogs are on a schedule of when they eat and go out that is met daily - they eat and play first thing in the morning, then relax for a bit then play again a few hours before dinner. In between these times, we of course go out
