Dogs, Cats, and Rabbits (oh my!)
Pet care experience
[they/them] I first began caring for dogs at the age of 13 when my family got our puppy, Bella, and I fell in love with caring for dogs and with spending time with them. Throughout high school, I would dog-sit occasionally for neighbors and close family friends, but I truly started my professional dog-sitting experience in 2016. I have done extensive dog walking, drop in visits, and countless overnights both in my home and the pets' homes. I even worked at a doggy daycare local to Philly for 6 months just before COVID kicked in, taking care of up to 20 dogs each day alongside my coworkers. I also have experience caring for cats and rabbits! I live with a cat, Pinky, and care for him whenever my roommate needs me to, and I have a pet bunny, Fauna, who I cherish and care for every single day. I think it's safe to say that pet care practically runs in my blood at this point!

River has done drop-in visits for my cat twice now and has been great! They are very communicative and my cat loves them. I am always anxious about leaving my cat behind but knowing he's in good hands makes me feel much better.
River is the best is the business 🫶 cannot recommend them enough! They have been such a good friend to my kitty over the years.

River is wonderful! My old crotchety cat has quite a few health issues in her golden years and requires a 2x daily inhaler, food additives to keep problems at bay, and a lot of patience and coaxing to get her out of hiding and comfortable enough to allow you to administer it all. River was able to achieve all of it. By the end of my trip, I think our kitty was quite disappointed the she was stuck with me again and not River 😂

I am vaccinated + boosted against COVID-19, and wear a mask at all meet and greets to keep you safe before your travels. During my stays, I keep the space as neat and tidy as I find it, always! I am a lover of instructions, and will follow them to a tee to make sure that your pet is as comfortable as possible with me, especially when we are first meeting! I like to give pets the time and space to adjust, so they can be as happy and carefree as possible the more we see each other.

I love to know as much about your pet as possible before hand! Any quirks, fears, likes, dislikes, needs— you name it! The more I know, the better I can care for your furry friend!
A typical day
I love love love walking, especially to parks! Nothing is better than some fresh air with a dog by your side. I also love playing games and playing with toys inside, or just sitting down, petting your dog or cat for as long as they like. Cuddling is optional, but definitely encouraged :)

Availability
I'm a private music teacher who is teaching lessons on a pretty flexible schedule, and I work in the service industry on the side. Saturday and Sundays are my busiest days- I only have 1 morning slot before 8:15am on each of these days, and then have very open afternoons and evenings both days. All other days of the week have pretty open availability! I have a lot of time available to be able to dedicate to your pets- reach out, and let's see what we can coordinate! I am also currently accepting recurring services! Recurring dog walks, recurring drop ins, etc. I'd love to see and take care of your pets on a regular basis!
