I started taking care of animals when I was 10 years old, mostly just my own pets and family member’s. I started volunteering at animal shelters at 14 where I regularly played with dogs and took them on walks. My senior year of high school I worked at a doggy daycare before coming to K-State where I’m a Pre-Vet student and continue working with animals. During high school I took some courses and had some training to gain experience with first aid, CPR, and even some dog training. I’ve learned how to properly act around dogs with different temperaments and basics for dealing with a dog fight and treating small injuries when needed.
