Hello! My name is Madra! I have worked in Animal Shelter Medicine for 7 years and have taken care of all sorts of animals over these 10 years. I have attended NAIT to be a Veterinary Medical Assistant and have a passion for all things animals. Specifically dogs and cats as I am extremely confident in their behaviours and how to handle them. I treat all animals at the shelter as though they are my own and enrichment is one of the most important things that people underestimate as a pet owner. I appreciate pet owners that see the importance and want to invest in their pets ❤️ I am a very active person who loves to go on walks and am an active weight lifter so handling and walking large dogs is not foreign to me once so ever. I look forward to speaking with you soon, meeting your furry friends and making their days that much better! Pet care is extremely important, regardless of it’s a dog or a cat. I have time to really dive into that quality time with your pet to make sure it is as comfortable and excited as it possibly could be while his/her parents are away! I care for my clients pets as if they were my own. I take major pride in keeping my pets healthy, groomed and keeping the highest standards when it comes to responsible pet ownership. Animals are family and leaving them with someone, means you have to feel comfortable and trust that they will give your pets the same compassion and love as you will as you are away. Timed feeding schedules (or top ups on free feeders), daily brush sessions, medications administered perfectly and on time, most of all… patience. With a lot of pets, you have to gain their trust and I have a lot of experience with high anxiety animals…. I take my time to allow them to trust me and then send photos to their parents to set their mind at ease as they are away.
