Pet care experience
I grew up with three dogs, seven cats, a hamster, two chickens, and 50 birds. My friends called my house a zoo, and I absolutely loved being surrounded by my furry family members. I've had small and medium dogs of my own, and currently take regular care of bigger dogs (huskies, labs, pitbulls, poodles, etc) as well. I have experience working with shy/anxious dogs -- and will take the time to be a non-alarming, gentle positive presence for your dog and get to know them at their own pace. When I am not dog sitting, I work as a yoga/mindfulness teacher and Surf Instructor :) You can see my fluffy clients on my instragram: @dogless.in.oakland *I do own a small (friendly with other dogs) and a bunny -- Leon (the bunny) has met plenty of dogs and cats and is a pretty mellow guy. Typically when I host your dog overnight the bunny will be kept in a completely separate space or he will be staying at his dad's house.

Larry stayed over a week with Madoka, and I couldn’t be happier having chosen her as sitter. Larry had probably one of the best weeks of his life thanks to Madoka, and was treated as a little prince all throughout the week. Despite the hour-long drive from Palo Alto to Oakland, can’t think of anyone else to take care of him the next time. Madoka, tia oficial of Larrito! :)
Madoka was fantastic! She got our little guy tired out every day and he had such a good time. She also took THE BEST pictures. One of them is my new screensaver.
Great cat sitter, and I'm glad we found her. Both cats were calm when we arrived home, and seemed to be well taken care of. The bowls were clean and full. Madoka sent us photos and kept us up to date on how the cats were doing. Would definitely book Madoka again! Thank you.

I have a fenced backyard and a sweet chihuaha mix who is super mellow and gets along with other dogs. The dogs I care for will get multiple walks a day, lots of cuddles, and sun bathing time in the back yard.

Specific allergies. How does your dog socialize with other dogs? How about other animals? And other people? Does your dog have separation anxiety? Unfortunately I cannot host dogs that bark a lot when left alone. Is your dog currently working on a trick!? As long as it's ok with you, I am happy to allow your pup on the bed, so let me know.
A typical day
I live up in the hills of Piedmont with quick access to Piedmont Park. My other favorite spots to take dogs are: Point Isobel, Redwood forest, and Sibly Volcanic regional park. My dog Lenny and I also love running around at Ocean Beach and Bolinas.

Availability
I am currently working part time so I have some flexibility during the week. I am currently recruiting a small group of dogs (3-4 dogs) that can join me for a 1.5hr trail walk at Redwood Regional park once or twice a week - if this is of any interest to you, please let me know so that I can get to know your dog more and see if they would be a good fit for this.
