Pet care experience
Hello! I am an enthusiastic animal lover who would love the opportunity to take care of your canine and feline family members. I recently returned from Ethiopia where I was a Peace Corps volunteer teaching English at a rural high school. I am an avid walker/runner and guarantee copious amounts of outdoor time for your dog(s). I have one dog, a black German Shepherd Dog/Lab mix, named Mara. She is very friendly with other dogs and is trained exceptionally well. Also, I grew up with a chocolate lab, Yorkshire terrier and two cats. I have flexible working hours and no restrained weekend obligations. I live in Bellaire and work in Global Health from home. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s)!

Madison was great! Very professional, and kept us updated with pictures (per our request) every step of the way while we were gone. The dogs were healthy and happy when we returned home, and the house looked the same as we left it. Couldn't ask for more.

I have a fenced in backyard for dogs who come to our home, and I've also gone through behavioral training (leash training and recall) for my own dog. I don't book more than two pets at a time to ensure each animal gets the care they deserve.

Please let me know if their are any special behavioral issues I should be aware of, particularly around other humans or animals. How many potty breaks do they typically receive in a day? Any special treats they do/don't like?
A typical day
I love to be outdoors, rain or shine! I would love to explore your neighborhood during walks to ensure that everyone gets some healthy exercise. I'm happy to give baths or any odd tasks that would make your pet(s) more comfortable during your absence. I have a flexible work schedule and would not be leaving your pet(s) home alone for long durations of time.

I work from home M-F and am set my own working hours so I'm able to prioritize your pet's needs. My partner is a physician so we leave town infrequently.
