Veterinary Professional/Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

I have grown up around dogs, cats, and exotics. I have experience working as a Veterinary Technician for 6 years; so if your pet is prone to illnesses that requires attention I can identify when it is necessary to get your pet to the vet. I can also give medications in a safe and professional manner (injectables meds and oral meds). A little about myself: I studied in South Africa for Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Marine Biology. I also studied at the University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in Biology and Neuroscience. I am also the co-founder of a Veterinary Medical Device startup company called Olive Tree Therapeutics, inspired by my beloved PitBull that tragically passed away from a rare form of Cancer only 2 years after rescuing her.

I have never known someone so loving and caring with animals. With her experience with all of her own animals, and years as a vet tech, Madison is always my go to whenever I have a pet sitting need, or advice with my dogs in general! She is my go to girl for any questions or care concerns I may have. She pays great attention to every detail; what a dog eats, their behavior, their appearance, etc. I would not trust anyone else more than I would with Madison and my own fur babies.

Madison is a passionate, caring, enthusiastic pet lover! She goes above and beyond when she dog sits. My dog, Kenedi, jumps for joy as soon as she sees Madison and always comes home happy. Madison has a gentle demeanor and her knowledge and experience with animals is evident.

I used Madison’s pet sitting service for my special needs chihuahua. He requires daily medications and insulin injections. I can’t allow just anyone to pet sit him, he is a lot of work for someone that doesn’t have experience. I did not have to worry while on vacation since she sent me several photos and videos each time she dropped by and told me when she gave the mediations and how it went each time.

Madison has helped care for my animals many times and has always given me the peace of mind of not having to worry while I am gone. I am incredibly particular so it’s reassuring to have someone with a professional background when it comes to care. She can easily assist with medications and be able to detect if something is wrong. If you are looking for a pet sitter who is very sweet, knowledgeable, reliable and compassionate, she’s your lady!

Information Madison V. would like to know about your pet

Your pet will not come in contact with any other pets in the house. Please provide a crate, if you cannot provide a crate, let me know so I can make sure to provide one. I also need to know what Veterinary Hospital I can bring your pet to (General Practice and Emergency) incase of an emergency. Vaccine records as well as allergies and other medical history would be helpful!

A typical day

A day to day schedule for your pet can consist of walks around the 3.5 acre property, a dip in the doggy pool, or just relaxing inside the house with me. If your pet in unable to walk long distances, then the smaller fenced back yard can be used. Overnight, pets are placed in crates with a blanket from home to feel more comfortable. If I have to leave during the day, pets will be placed in crates with lick mats to relieve any anxiety or bordem (if needed/or unless owner declines), toys, or treats. Toys and treats must be supplied during drop-off. If there are any special instructions/comments, please let me know and I can make it happen. For an additional fee, your pet can have a quick grooming session to smell fresh before going back home.
