Pet care experience
I have had my own dog for about 10 years and taken care of previous dogs since 4th grade, so I've been around dogs for most of my life. I used to volunteer at the Boulder Valley Humane Society where I was trained to handle dogs. There, I walked a variety of dogs and spent time with them for 2-4 hours per week. In the past, I would house sit and walk my neighbor's dogs. I know how to handle dogs who get aggressive or aren't very comfortable around other dogs/animals from personal experience and Humane society training.

I In my client’s homes, I always like to get a sense of the backyard, whether it is fenced in or not. I always ensure while I’m house sitting, that there’s nothing the dog could get into. Additionally, if I need to leave the dogs alone I make sure they are properly crated (if the owner desires), have gone out before I leave, and have plenty of water.

I'd like to know the dog's energy level and personality so I can accommodate in that way. I am slightly biased towards corgis (because I have one), but I love all breeds!
A typical day
We'll probably go on walks around the neighborhood. Dog parks are always nice for a big fenced area to run around in. A game of fetch in the yard is always nice.
