Pet care experience
Note: I am open to reasonable price negotiation! :) Hello, I'm Madison. I've had a deep love for animals my entire life. I've been in a 4-H Dog Club and learned a lot of practical information about dogs and caring for them. I've trained my two dogs, and helped others train their own dogs. I love pet sitting dogs in their own house, as I feel that it keeps them comfortable. I've done it twice (the first time with two adult dogs and a senior dog and the second time with three adult dogs and a cat). I keep them company by playing with them, giving them any attention they want, and making sure they're fed and let out at their normal schedules. I am absolutely willing to take pictures and videos of your pets/provide email or text updates if you would like! I know how precious pets are, and I'd love to treat yours with the respect and love they deserve!

Madison did an excellent job taking care of our pitbull mix and cat. Madison checked in with pictures of our pets and responded quickly to our text check ins. We've already booked a second house sitting and look forward to hiring her to take care of our pets and home again.

I follow the instructions that the owner leaves me. With less detailed instructions, I rely on the animal and common sense to provide the care. For example, if the animal is antsy around a normal meal time, I'll try feeding them first (and checking their water). If that doesn't work, I'll try bathroom breaks for dogs or cleaning the litter box for cats. If that doesn't work, I'll try comforting or playing with the animal. I am patient and understanding with animals as I care for them.

I would like the owner to make a quick (but all inclusive) list of the dogs normal habits (that is: normal feeding time, amount of food, normal walk time, etc.) I would not mind giving dogs medicine, so long as the instructions are clearly visible.
A typical day
We will go on walks around the neighborhood. If needed, I can occasionally take them by car to a better walking location. I will play with them (my favorites are tug-of-war and fetch); my favorite activity, though, is to cuddle up with them on the couch!

Availability
Sophie in my bio is my parents' dog, so I do not own a dog right now. But I grew up with dogs and cats, so I know the routine well. Additionally, I have pet sit for a handful of people (off of Rover) and I will provide the care the animal needs when they normally get it. With the owners away, pets tend to miss them, so I want to keep some normalcy for them.
