Pet care experience
After growing up around just about every animal imaginable, I dedicated my adult life to studying animal behavior, training, and care. I received my A.S in Zoo Animal Technology and my B.S in Animal Behavior, Conservation, and Education. Throughout my career, I've worked with a wide variety of species and enjoy implementing the best care practices for each one! Additionally, I’ve spent time working in my local animal shelter’s Behavior Dept. where I provided care and training for dogs with severe behavioral & medical needs - so I’m well equipped to work with more nervous or reactive animals.

My family likes to joke we have our own zoo—between us, there are 4 large dogs, 2 cats (a senior and a kitten who do not get along), and a snake. And while we take as much of the menagerie with us as we can any time we travel, it’s not always possible to take any of them. Madison is the only sitter we would trust with our brood. When we come back, the dogs are worn out and happy, the cats have been properly loved on and kept away from each other, and it’s obvious the snake has been handled with such care and affection. We seriously don’t know what we would do without Madison.
I am so thankful to have Madison care for my babies whenever I go out of town! It is really tough to find someone who is comfortable caring for reptiles, especially the ones that have more complicated behavior or care needs. Knowing Madison is experienced caring for all kinds of animals really put my mind at ease. I can't recommend her enough!!
Madison cared for my two big lugs Penny and Mo. They had so much fun with her they didn’t even miss me. My Penny is reactive to dogs she doesn’t know, Madison knew how to handle this and still took them both on adventures for walks. My pups also have supplements they take and Madison was comfortable with all of my instructions. I highly recommend Madison to care for your furry family members.
I cannot recommend Madison enough! She took such amazing care of my spicy little kitty, kept me updated with photos and videos, and even got her to warm up to some cuddles! Madison takes the time to do fun, new activities, and follows instructions to the letter. As a neurotic pet owner, I truly felt safe and comfortable leaving my cat in her care.

Together we can create a game plan for your pet's care that meets everyone's needs while you're away :)
A typical day
For dogs, I tend to focus on getting energy out while also working on reinforcing good manners. I love taking dogs out on walks, hikes, and even the occasional swim for the pups that're up for it! I'm always sure to bring their favorite toys to play with, as well as their fav treats so that I can reinforce all of the good behavior they show while we're out :) For the dogs that aren't able to go out and about but still enjoy a fun activity, I'll bring/create items for them to play with, shred, forage through, etc. to entertain them and exercise their brains! We'll discuss these options during our consult, and all ideas will be approved by you before implementing.

My schedule is currently very flexible. I'm available for drop-by visits, overnight stays, regularly scheduled dog walks, and drop-by enrichment sessions anytime of day Wednesday-Monday. Message me for more info!
