Hi, it’s nice to meet you! Thanks for taking a stop on my profile; I can’t wait to connect with you and your babies! My name is Madison and I’m 24 years old. I grew up with pets around and my love for animals has only grown as I’ve gotten older. We had big and small dogs, cats, fish, and at one point, a guinea pig! I’ve come to realize that no matter the kind of animal, to understand and interact well, they have to know that you care. In addition to my own pets, I have experience with caring for rats, reptiles, rabbits, and special needs/elderly dogs. I volunteered at an animal shelter in Houston for two years prior to leaving for college. There, I learned that body language and a gentle touch say a lot more than words do. Thanks to the experience there, I’ve learned to interact with timid animals, as well as those who are nervous around new people. I also picked some really fun ways to play! With toys or not, I’ll get right down on the ground with them. The cup game is one of my favorites, but I love a good tug-of-war and of course, FETCH! I’m currently in marketing and work from home for a start-up tech company! Aside from pet care activities, my hobbies include painting, photography, hiking, and culinary arts.
