Pet care experience
Hi! I’m currently a med student without any pets of my own (for the first time ever) & I would love to help take care of your fur baby! In addition to having dogs for most of my life, I’ve been a sitter/walker on Rover for over a year and have garnered experience from a wide range of dog breeds, from smaller dogs (pugs, chihuahuas, etc.) to larger dogs (pit bulls, shepherds, etc.). Furthermore, I have special experience with puppies and reactive dogs. I also LOVE cats and have raised a kitten into adulthood (an orange cat, at that!). At this point, I’ve been fortunate enough to engage with and take care of 150+ cats via the Rover app and am excited to meet even more :). Madison did a great job with my kitties. They were happy and well taken care of. There had been some miscommunication through the Rover app and some delays in communication because of the app. Madison spent a couple hours in a drop in visit with my cats while waiting for the app to function. She could have left after the 30-40 minutes required for a drop in visit, but chose to give the spare time with my cats. I highly recommend Madison as a cat sitter.
Madison was a lifesaver (or at least a holiday saver). I thought it would be impossible to find a sitter or place to board my puppy over Thanksgiving, especially a last minute request, and Madison came through, big time. She took such excellent care of him at her home, playing with him, taking him to the dog park, the lake, and keeping me updated with texts and photos. I felt very fortunate to have found Madison and I will GLADLY place my dog in her care again.

A typical day
Having grown up with two huskies, I am experienced taking care of high energy breeds. There are various ways to mentally and physically stimulate your dog (changing their walk route, teaching them tricks, etc.) & I try to incorporate these into the routine/activities of the pets I care for. Since I study a lot, I also love taking care of lazy/sleepy pets that just want a cuddle.

Availability
My schedule is pretty flexible, so, together, we can cultivate a plan that works for the both of us. I will do best with visits that may happen during a specific time range (i.e. do a drop-in anytime between 1-2pm), but I always take requests on a case-by-case basis.
