Pet care experience
Grew up in South Carolina, where my father owned and practiced at two veterinary clinics. From a young age I was involved with the business and was surrounded by animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. As a teenager I worked in the grooming and boarding side of the clinic, which gave me a lot of hands on experience with canine care and training. I also trained bird dogs with my father and brother; and I pride myself on the results I've been able to achieve with the animals. Now that I live in New York in a small apartment, I actually no longer have a dog of my own, but have an incredibly sweet Maine Coon mix named Amadeus that I rescued upon moving to Poughkeepsie in 2018. I am a proud Orthodox Christian and take my pet care as a serious part of my faith. Nothing would make me happier than going on a walk with your furry friend, or dropping by to feed, check up, or even train them. I have my own reliable transportation and can drive to you. Madison was extra attentive to our two cats. He was very communicative, provided a plethora of photos at every visit and went above and beyond what we asked of him. I can only say it's because he truly cares about every animal he's caring for. If we leave on vacation again we will definitely use his services again.
Madison is a genuine, kind, and a passionate person. I've had a few ppl in the past that would run in and out of my house.. not fully attending to my dog's needs; but Madison takes his time with my dog spending good quIty time with him which is important to me. He truely loves what he do. He's very kind and affectionate with my fury son. He's not afraid to ask questions because he wants to make sure he is doing a good job. I have absolutely no complaints and I truly recommend him to everyone! I use him every week since we've met .. and as a nervous dog mom, if I can trust him, so can you !
Madison is phenomenal. Truly goes above and beyond. We were thrilled with his service and to have had the opportunity to have him spend time with our pup!
Madison is definitely a trust-worthy care giver for my 9 month old puppy, Jaina. I trust him to let himself in and out of my house while I'm at work, and provide whatever she needs. And Jaina LOVES him because she gets extra walks! All the other reviews were spot on, which is why I first reached out to him. He also stays in contact with me while he's there, and has never canceled on me (I don't really have the luxury of giving him much warning).

I would love to know anything and everything about your dog/cat! However, no breed is too much or too "scary" and I'm absolutely willing to work with older/slower/and disabled animals as well.
A typical day
We will go on walks appropriately scheduled for your dog's physical needs and constraints. I won't do anything you don't ask me to unless you want me to have free reign over the walking environment- in which case I would ensure the animal's safety over all else. I live near several large grassy fields and parks that dogs love.
