Pet care experience
I have been a professional pet sitter for over 7 years and worked in an animal shelter for 3 years. I’m 28, I’ve handled dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and needs. I have experience in medication administration as well as insulin application. At the animal shelter, I was the “intake manager” so I took in all dogs that first arrived to the shelter and monitored their behavior, health, weight, etc before they moved onto general population. I have plenty of knowledge and plenty of compassion!

Madison was great with my dog. She was also very flexible with the schedule.
Madison could not have been more wonderful! She was able to step in when the dog sitter we had lined up bailed at the very last second and save the day! She stayed overnight at our place for a few days and did an amazing job taking care of our pup while we were away! She was extremely communicative, sent plenty of pictures and updates on our boy, and spent an ample amount of time with him as well. She could not have made us feel more comfortable and allowed us to have a totally stress-free vacation knowing our pup was in such good hands. She also cleaned everything up after herself which was such a bonus! She will absolutely be our go-to dog/house sitter from here on out, and we would recommend her to anyone! 😊

When caring for pets in others homes, you can be rest assured that your fur babies and your home is in good hands! I have been doing house sitting for the full 7 years I’ve been in the pet care business and have always held my trustworthiness in high regard. Belongings are not touched without direct permission, and when doing extended house stays I’m happy with Netflix, my books and playing with the pets! Information Madison H. would like to know about your pet
I always love to know every detail I can possibly know about a special needs dog anywhere from medication/special diet to helping them get around the house/up onto beds/etc. It’s also important to know their typical routine/exercise level so I can keep them as close to their normal routine as possible so they can stay comfortable and on track! I always like to know of any favorite treats, toys, their favorite place for scratches, the important stuff. Also anything I might need to avoid such as petting them in certain areas, vacuums, whether they like music on when they are left alone, etc.
A typical day
In a typical day while house sitting the very first thing I like to do is go on a good longer walk in the morning after feeding, if if the owner preference is the yard instead of walks I join them in the backyard for some playtime to get some energy out! After that, I typically will work on my laptop for a few hours before another walk/yard romp and when I have free time I either like to play with the pups, read a book or watch a show/movies! I’m always cleaning up after myself/pets as I go along the day as well so nothing is ever out of place!

Availability
The best thing I’ve ever done in my life is get into pet care. There’s nothing I love more than providing individualized care for each and every pet in my care no matter their need! At this point in my life, I know more dogs and cats than people and that’s completely okay with me. At the moment, I am working from home and am able to work from anywhere and take frequent breaks to tend to pets under my care. I generally do not have to be gone for long amounts of time which makes it easy for me to care for special needs dogs and puppies!
