Our pets are our family!
Pet care experience
I have three pups. One large breed mix of a little bit of everything, a pitbull/american bulldog, and a chihuahua/boston terrier. All three of them came to me with their own quirks, but after many hours of consistent reward-based training, they all have become well rounded dogs. I understand that our pets are family, so finding the best person to watch them can be difficult! I went years without going on vacation due to not finding that perfect fit for my dogs. I previously worked at an animal shelter where I fit dogs and cats with their perfect homes. My job was to get to know the animals and adopt them out to appropriate families. After spending time walking and playing with the various dogs, I had to note their specific quirks. It was important to make adopters aware of what each specific dog needed. Some were slow to warm up and needed a quiet home. Others had high energy and needed an active home. I understand that every animal is different, so each pet will require a slightly different kind of care. The same goes for cats! While working in the shelter, I came across a wide variety of cats. Some were shy and slow to warm up while others were outgoing. With my ability to read the body language of both cats and dogs coupled with my experience in handling various quirks, I will comfortably and confidently care for your animal(s). I’ll enjoy doing it too!
Reviews
Madison is wonderful! We had our first pet sitter experience and Madison is very prompt with response, has great communication with visits and tolerated my three dogs with very different personalities very well. Will definitely book again and highly recommend.
So reliable! Cooper loves her and gets really excited when Maddie comes to play with him.
Madison is the best! She was available for a last minute walk for my dog. I love all of her pictures she takes and she really takes her time to assess the needs of my dog, not just simply walk her.
Madison is great. She stopped in to walk my dog almost everyday while I was on vacation. She was very communicative, sent lots of pictures and updates which I absolutely loved and appreciated. She was very flexible when our schedule changed too. My dog takes awhile to warm up to people and Madison was so patient with her, and took the time to drop in a few times before I went on vacation. I highly recommend Madison for any of your rover needs!!

I live on unfenced acreage, so recall training is super important for my dogs. While they have free reign of the house and yard while we are home, they have been crate trained for when we are gone. We spend a lot of time playing fetch outside and having puppy play dates. Our dogs also accompany us on our runs, hikes, and car rides.
Information Madison C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any allergies or is on any medications. I’d also like to know your pups favorite activities! Fetch? Tug? Relaxing and getting lots of pets? Let me know!
A typical day
I understand that when going on walks, the physical activity isn’t the only fun part for the pup. A lot of the fun comes from stopping and sniffing various things along the way! So, I can guarantee that your pup will have the time to sniff and explore throughout our walk. All dogs benefit from mental stimulation just as much as physical exercise. I enjoy making treat puzzles for pups! I use anything from a rag tied in knots and filled with treats to frozen kongs filled with pumpkin, peanut butter, blueberries, etc.It has been proven that 30 minutes of mental stimulation can tire a dog out just as well as a couple hours of physical exercise. Let me know what your dog enjoys doing and I will make sure to do that activity with them! One of my dogs could play fetch for hours while the other prefers to play tug-o-war.

Availability
I’m currently a stay at home mom with a one year old daughter. My availability is very open, but that is only if my daughter is able to be with me. She is perfectly happy being in a carrier on my back. That is how she falls asleep for naps often times anyway!
