Hi there! My name is Maddi and I am a lover of all creatures--big and small. As a wildlife biology major and current veterinary student, I have always loved animals. Rover is a great way for me to connect with new furry friends and bring happiness to them, you, and myself! I have had experience with both dogs and cats throughout my time working at veterinary clinics and hospitals throughout high school and college, and I have raised a dog of my own as well as fostered cats for the past year. As a kennel technician and veterinary assistant for 2 years, I have had the opportunity to work with dogs & cats of every breed, size, and behavior. I feel confident in my abilities to provide safe, comfortable, and fun environments for your pet and I to both enjoy while also getting some necessary exercise and attention in! As an avid runner and a huge lover of the outdoors, I would be able to take your fur baby on small or big hikes, on a nice jog, to a dog park, or a stroll just around the neighborhood--whatever you prefer! I'm also happy to take some cute photos for "pup"dates on your pet, as well as check in on the mail or water the plants--small tasks that are able to give you peace of mind! I have unique perspectives on animal care and behavior as I also have worked with dairy goats, horses, endangered species, as well as plenty of wildlife. My special skills include administering medications, post-surgery care, recognizing abnormal animal behavior, and safe handling of most pets.
