Growing up, I was responsible for household cats and dogs during the afternoons while my parents worked and was a go-to for people in need of a pet-sitter or someone to keep their babies company. Then I adopted a dog who was victim to abuse when I was 18 and planned my whole life around her until her senior years when she passed last month. Despite my small frame, I became very adept at handling a 90 pound muscle-dog and disciplined with patience and positive reinforcement. I tend to accidentally pick pets with health issues, so I've dealt with everything from infections and surgeries with my dog to kidney failure in my first cat. I have experience with medical care in both cats and dogs, including care for seniors (who I have always had a huge soft spot for, especially since the passing of my senior dog). I am also very comfortable and experienced with behavioral issues such as people or dog-adverse dogs.
