Pet care experience
I am currently in my junior year at the University of Maryland; I am currently studying Psychology on the Pre-Physician's Assistant track. I have a ton of experience with animals; I worked and volunteered at the Humane Rescue Alliance animal shelter for three years, and also worked in a veterinary hospital for a year. I am trained to administer some IM and SC medications, and have a good amount of experience with special needs animals. I love all kinds of dogs, big or small; I have had my own dog for 13 years, so I am completely comfortable with dogs, and also have experience with other animals such as cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, bunnies, etc. Also, I love pet photography (see my gallery photos!!) and would definitely be sure to send you some great photos of your pup! Madi was great. She came out for a meet and greet and patiently listened to and observed the commands we use and how we walk our dogs. The dogs seemed to really like her and were excited to see her the day of their actual walk. We hope she sticks around the area for a while because good dog helpers are hard to find.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Madi!! She took such great care of our black lab, Maggie, while we were away for 6 days. She sent daily pictures and videos, which we adored. She was even willing to sleep at our home most nights to give Maggie extra attention. She took Maggie on long walks and even took her up to the field by our house so they could play fetch. Icing on the cake was when she went out and bought more treats for Maggie because she was running low. We would highly recommend Madi! She’s simply fabulous!
Madi was great with our Akita! She was extremely accommodating and responsive, would book her again with confidence.
Madi cared for Marley, our lovely, diabetic cat, while we were out of the country. She was responsible, responsive and administered insulin shots daily. We received pictures, videos and updates daily and felt that Marley is receiving his necessary treatment accompanied by love and attention. If your pet has special needs, or a chronic illness, it is very hard to find and entrust their care to someone else. Madi was the perfect person for the job and we will certainly have her care for Marley next time! THANK YOU, MADI!!
