Madelyn watched our 10 year old Yorkie Poo, Bella, for 10 days while we were on vacation. The third day in Bella became ill and Madelyn waited in an emergency vets waiting room for at least 10 hours over a two day weekend. When our regular vets office opened on Monday, Madelyn took Bella there just so we (and she) could feel better about Bella’s care. Madelyn administered medication and even rearranged her schedule to be able to watch Bella in a more comforting setting for Bella. We were extremely happy with Madelyn. She was genuinely concerned and cared about our Bella. Madelyn constantly checked in with us to let us know how Bella was doing so we didn’t worry and she sent us pictures. We would definitely use Madelyn again as a sitter as she was excellent. On the other hand, Rover.com was less than helpful when Bella got sick. Our vet bill was over $1,500 and we were told that the Rover guarantee didn’t cover sickness even though Bella was fine when we dropped her off. They were also not helpful in finding another boarding solution when we worried that Madelyn wouldn’t be able to keep Bella depending on her diagnosis. They were also not a big help when Madelyn reached out to them. This caused several days of stress and uncertainty during our vacation. Despite the lack of help on Rover’s part; Madelyn was able to work everything out and give Bella excellent care and we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation stress free and without worries.
