I have always had a high-energy, hunting dog in my life. I grew up surrounded by many acres of woods and found great joy that my dogs had the freedom to run through the woods as they pleased. Recently, I have taken my family dog to college with me and I learned what it is like to have a German Shorthair Pointer in a neighborhood. It was very important to keep her entertained and we had so much fun on our of hikes and walks! We found areas that suited her senior needs. She was also a bit shy around men (something she gained from the previous owners), so I socialized her at a very slow pace and she doesn't have this fear anymore. I would adjust my time with your K-9 pal to suit their needs as well. I have learned what great qualities a dog brings to a house. I truly love dogs and will do the best job possible taking care of your dog. I would want someone to do same for my dog!
