Pet care experience
Hello! I am a responsible 22 year old student who’s currently studying Forensic Psychology at Brock University. When I am not away at school you can find me hiking with my family’s dog and spending time volunteering as a foster home for a local dog rescue. Over the years I’ve gained a plethora of hands on animal experience from owning and breeding rabbits to owning a quaker parrot and growing up dogs of all breeds of dogs, cats to owning horses. If you can think it I’ve probably owned it lol ! I have professional experience from working at the Ontario SPCA shelter as well as volunteer work for a dog rescue. The goal of your experience with me is to keep your pet low stress in their comfort zone and routine. I adapt to your pets needs. I can assist with doing basic training while walking your pet or provide enrichment to keep them busy, whatever is in your pets daily routine to keep them happy and stress free!

I’ve jumped at any opportunity i could get to be involved with animals. I’ve volunteered with my local kennel club at dog shows, i’ve volunteered at my horse back riding barn during childerns summer camp along with a therapeutic horse back riding barn for children with special needs and I am a foster home for a dog rescue.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs and what their routine is. I like to stick as closely to that as possible to ensure little stress on your pets. I can assist with basic training routines to help ensure your training progress continues even when you’re not there. Also let me know if you have any toys or puzzle actives to provide for your pet while away!
A typical day
I love enrichment! I want to make sure all your dogs needs are meet and won’t leave a clients till that’s done. With my experience from fostering rescue dogs from my experience working in animal care. A tired dog is a happy dog! We have the whole world but for our pets we’re their whole world, i want them to have fun and an enjoyable time while your gone. I know what it’s like to own a high energy dog with owning two myself. I love taking dogs for hikes and long walks that allow them to explore safely and to have that outdoors enrichment. I know lots of great dog safe trails in the area to allow your dog to burn off some extra energy. If your dogs abit more of a couch potato a nice walk around the block is another great option!

Availability
I am comfortable and have experience handling pets of all sizes and breeds. I am training my German Shepherd currently in obedience at a well known positive reinforcement training facility. I’ve worked along side trainers with some of my foster dogs for there behavioural issues. I am very found of large dogs in particular herding breeds, with owning a GSD and an Aussie. But am a dog lover of all breeds, sizes. Important! For overnight sittings i don’t stay overnight at clients house, rather I stay over in the evening starting at the requested time and then come back early in the morning at a requested time. This is just for my safety and in my comfort zone. Your pet gets all the love and attention of overnight care while being able to keep myself safe aswell!
