Looking for more dogs in my life!
Pet care experience
I'm a huge animal lover, with 3 dogs and cat of my own. I have experience with animals of all shapes and sizes, my favorite being dogs! I currently work in two animal hospitals- an emergency center in Huntington, New York as a tech assistant and our new practice in Queens (Long Island City) as a supervisor. My employment with this practice began in 2013 after graduating college. Since then I have occasionally taken some time off for travel/volunteer work as well as acquiring a Masters degree in Animal Welfare & Law (University of Glasgow, UK). My goal is to pursue veterinary school in the next year or so. My family recently relocated to Pennsylvania; with them went all of our family pets who I'd usually spend a lot of time outside with at parks, the beach, and for long walks around the neighborhood. Since I now only get to do these things with my pets once or twice a month, I hope I can enjoy doing these things with your pets!! I also provide lots of love and cuddles!

Madeline is wonderful with dogs. She has worked with them in multiple capacities and has owned dogs her whole life. She has an understanding of the different personalities dogs can have and is able to adjust on a whim to make sure any dog is comfortable in the situation they are in. Madeline also has also done research on dog welfare for her Animal Ethics Masters. I accompanied her through parks where she interacted with dogs and owners about breed-specific health issues and breeding. Madeline not only has an emotional attachment and understanding to dogs but also a technical understanding. Madeline loves being around dogs and will make sure your dog is happy and healthy. She understands that dogs are more than just a pet and will make sure your dog is treated well.
I have know Madeline for close to 10 years and she has an extreme love of dogs! She has yet to meet a dog she doesn't love! My Aunt has a seeing eye dog and while she was out of the country for two weeks I was watching her dog. Madeline came over and was very receptive to all of the dogs needs and requirements. The dog instantly loved her and they formed a bond. Madeline truely loves dogs and if you give her a chance she will surely love your dog too!

It is important to know beforehand about any aggression issues, likes and dislikes, dietary restrictions (so I know if I'm allowed to give treats!), and important medications. Also, knowing the dogs energy level is important, as I would not like to exercise your dog too much or too little.
A typical day
I am willing, depending on the owners permission, to bring dogs I sit to local parks, dog parks, trails, and dog-friendly beaches. On the other hand, I would also want to simply provide some company to your dog just by a short walk around the neighborhood, a game of fetch, or in home companionship.
